CQG Spreader
CQG now offers the CQG Spreader, the ideal tool for spread traders.
The CQG Spreader allows customers to access the CQG Spreader Core, our collocated servers at the exchanges. The close proximity of the core to the exchange servers allows modification and execution of second legs to occur in less than one millisecond. This allows for ultra-low latency trade execution and sophisticated order management. Bid/ask queues per leg in the exchange’s order book are monitored by the spread servers for liquidity.
With the CQG Spreader, traders can:
- Configure leg ratios, scale, order management, and legging risk;
- set up the monitored leg orders using bid and ask queue volume
conditions; and
- manage incomplete orders with a pay-up limit or with CQG’s trailing
limit orders.

Spread Matrix and Spread Pyramid
CQG offers two powerful trading tools designed specifically for spread traders.
The Spread Matrix and Spread Pyramid allow traders to trade exchange-traded spreads and monitor both exchange-traded and synthetic spreads. Exchange-traded spreads are exchange-listed instruments for spreads. Examples include reverse calendars, butterflies, and crude versus products.
Traders can also take advantage of CQG’s chart tools, custom studies, portfolio management, and other advanced analytics by combining them with the Spread Matrix and Spread Pyramid.
